This honey and cinnamon tea is easy to make and can be act as a natural tea for weight loss. Cinnamon helps improve metabolic syndrome, decrease body fat and increase lean body mass. Honey also has the benefit in reducing body weight. Add honey only when the water is cooled to avoid destroying enzymes in the honey. To get the best results, consume the tea on empty stomach, either half an hour before breakfast or one hour before bed time.

- ½ teaspoon cinnamon (Ceylon cinnamon is recommended — see Footnotes  below)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 cup water
- Boil water
- Dissolve cinnamon into water and let it cool for 30 minutes
- Add honey before serving and enjoy the cinnamon tea!
Footnotes  There are two types of cinnamon, Ceylon known as “true cinnamon”, and Cassia. Cinnamon contains coumarin, a fragrant chemical that can result in liver damage if consuming large amounts. Ceylon cinnamon has substantially lower amount of coumarin than Cassia cinnamon. If you plan to consume cinnamon on a regular basis, Ceylon cinnamon is recommended. Most of the cinnamon sold in the United States is Cassia while Ceylon can be purchased from reputable spice stores. Ceylon also has a milder and more pleasant aroma than cassia for a soothing drink.
